Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs
The Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs is made up of a group of talented, fun-loving and generous women of all ages, cultural backgrounds and education.
They all share the same dream and goal which is to make our community a better place to live.
The following is just a few of the many volunteer activities that the Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs perform to help those in need in our community:
Every third Thursday of each month, The Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs serves lunches to seniors through the Golden Circle Nutrition program.
The Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs makes and distributes comfort pillows for cancer patients to help ease the pressure that causes pain and discomfort to their arms, shoulders and necks.
Each April, The Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs joins the National Pinwheels for Prevention campaign by “planting” pinwheel gardens throughout the community to bring about child abuse awareness.
This project is also part of the Not One More Child Coalition created by Commissioner Sallie Clark and District Attorney Dan May as a way to unite more representatives and organizations to share their goal of preventing child abuse.
In addition to the many volunteer activities that the members get involved with, they also enjoy multiple fun-filled events throughout the year with the primary goal of fun and fellowship such as a fashion show, Triple T Party (martinis, tiaras, tampons) and bunco parties (games and food).
So, if these activities seem exactly what you enjoy and you want to know more about the Woman’s Club of Colorado Springs, please feel free to get in touch with Kathryn (kf_delcom@yahoo.com) or Tessie (atbaldovsky@yahoo.com).
