Three World Golf Hall of Famers to tee off at Senior Open

Fred Couples, Bernhard Langer and Vijay Singh, who competed in this Masters Tournament at Augusta (Georgia), will play for the 39th U.S. Senior Open Championship at The Broadmoor Golf Club’s East Course June 28-July 1.

Couples (1992), Langer (1985, 1993) and Singh (2000) are all past Masters champions.

Couples, 58, has played in four U.S. Senior Opens. He was the runner-up in 2010 at Sahalee Country Club, in Sammamish, Wash. and tied for fourth last year at Salem Country Club, in Peabody, Mass.

Langer, 60, won the 2010 U.S. Senior Open by three strokes over Couples and was the runner-up in 2012 at Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion, Mich. Langer has recorded six top-10 finishes in the 10 Senior Opens he has competed.

Singh, 55, tied for seventh last year in his third U.S. Senior Open appearance. His best finish came in 2014 when he tied for fifth at Oak Tree National, in Edmond, Okla.
