Elmohr Iris Society sale set for July 26, 27
For Life After 50
Elmohr Iris Society has been meeting in Colorado Springs since 1966 and was conceived by a group of persons with an interest in Iris. Above is the gorgeous Beverly Sills variety from the gardens of Kathy Koppers. She has more than 100 iris varieties growing this season.
There are three monthly garden meetings of the Society where they have created and
continue to maintain the magnificent Loomis Test Garden, located at Colorado Springs East Library, 5550 N. Union Blvd. This beautiful garden is the highest altitude Iris test garden in the world.
We are fortunate that it is right here for our benefit and enjoyment.
Iris Rhizomes from this garden are also divided and sold to support this nonprofit organization. Hundreds of different varieties of Iris grow well in Colorado Springs. Dwarf through Tall Bearded varieties will be offered at their Iris Sale, July 26 and 27 at
Spencer’s Lawn and Garden Center.
Please check for details in this month’s Happenings!
